Trying to ignore our nagging residual hangovers as we head to Heathrow on a bumpy tube train. Big breakfast awaits en route to Nuremberg.
Late night packing for Nuremberg while giggling at the fantastic trans-Atlantic rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ for Verity. Genius!
Warming up with a nice cuppa before heading out for Verity’s birthday meal at Black & Blue. A monster steak for me please! http://is.gd/e0nK
Continuing my cheeky little tour of tasty beers with Black Sheep. Mmmm Masham. Oh, hai cheese, crackers and piccalilli. Don’t mind if I do!
Fullers Discovery, Theakstons Old Peculiar, next stop on the bottled beer tour - Greene King Old Speckled Hen.
Waving goodbye to @nandrewh, the perfect Christmas companion. Lots of eating, drinking and relaxing successfuly executed!
Long walk by the river + warming rum by the fire + magnificent pie + Irish coffee + sofa + telly = 3 sleeping people and 1 sleeping dog.
Slowly recovering on the sofa from our earlier gluttony. Defensively having a nice cup of tea until I have room for more Old Peculiar.
Delighted that @yorksworths got the ideal Christmas present - a full night’s sleep! Beaming glad tidings over to 94040
A bracing walk by the Thames with Verity, Pops and Tot earlier. Home to graze and knock back some ginger wine. Sleepy dog. Full tummies.
Happiness is… unwrapping a rubber stick with built in squeaker and integrated ladybird. (Apparently!) http://is.gd/ds29
To those who celebrate Christmas: Happy Christmas! To those who don’t: Normal service will resume shortly! Now, time for a bucks fizz.
Full of festive cheer and roast turkey sandwich. Great atmosphere & Salvation Army brass band at Borough Mrkt. Homeward now. Pops en route.
Heading to Borough Market to collect lots of meat and other goodies.
Happiness is… breaking the seal on a perfect new jar of Marmite.
um… copy and paste buffoonery! I meant this: http://is.gd/ddvX for “Geeky Chaos Disc” pride …oh forget it. The moment has gone.
Puffing my chest out with geek pride after seeing my laptop decoration described as a “Geeky Chaos Disc” Yeehaw! http://is.gd/dd4T
Trying to avoid letting some last minute Christmas shopping turn into a trolly dash.
Watching Iron Man and getting over excited when spotting @adactio’s photo a few minutes in. http://is.gd/d15T
Happy birthday @blaine
Don’t care how soppy I sound… Quality colleagues For The Win!
Leaning in the direction of having a glass of Christmas cheer and slinking off home early.
Lingering eye contact with a dog on the train reveals to us both that he wants to be patted and I want to pat!
Dare I install the iPlayer Air application? Messages like this scare me a little. http://is.gd/cm50
Looking with interest at FireUnit a unit testing framework for Firebug http://ejohn.org/blog/fireunit/
Enjoying the manageable bustle of a busy office in the new Osmoplex.
My BT employee discount just saved me a whopping £362.50 on a 2 day Christmas period car rental. FTW! (and also, WTF!)
“[Microsoft] to issue a patch to fix the latest hole in Internet Explorer.” That’s called Firefox isn’t it? http://is.gd/c7ki
Hoping that @bb42 is going to dabble in Flash for some cool visualizations and isn’t tempted to build a web site that way. ( —-> dragons!)
Eagerly transferring stories by Miranda July to my iPod to enjoy on the road. A most thoughtful gift from @maureen and @blaine
Too tight to re-purchase the versions of Hallelujah I already own (and adore) but love the sentiment. A mountain to climb I fear! Buckley++
Missed @twinterval but had a fun evening scoffing pasta and hanging out with @robb1e @drpepp @mahemoff @maureen and @blaine
Sad to be missing the Last.fm hackday but excited to be heading to The Arbiter for a big pre-christmas roast dinner with my buddies.
Being impressed by the logistics involved in the fantastic Moreover/Verisign Christmas ‘treasure crawl’. There could be drunk tweets ahead!
Recovering after ranting to a Verisign PM when he justified choosing Flash with “it works X browser” & “..if it’s good enough for Pepsi”
Finishing up the packing at Osmosoft Towers with @nickwebb. Goodbye Soho. Hello Victoria!
Packing up the office is interupted by a fire alarm. Our muster point - The Exchange Bar.
Preparing to wave goodbye to Osmosoft Towers and Soho (snif) and relocate to The Osmoplex in Victoria tomorrow. Coffee shop recommendations?
Tangled up on the IE6 scramble net of the CSS assault course. Must.. get.. untangled.
Grabbing coffee at Victoria station as I wait for the train to Canterbury. Eyes an ears open as I wait for fellow Osmonauts. (platform 6)
Adastral Park has thousands of BT employees, but no real food after 2pm. Foraging for nuts and berries. (Google must be sh**ting themselves)
Ipswich bound.
Waving a fond farewell to the family after a lovely w/e. Great to catch up after so long. Goofing with cousins never changes. Familiar fun!
Hard not to enjoy watching The Polar Express in a room full of the young and young at heart in front if a roaring fire.
Congratulations @premasagar!
Alarmed by @jobsworth’s news. I hope all are ok.
Happiness is.. Long awaited family reunions in a country house. But sorry to be without poorly @yorksworths and remote @clairehubel et al
Happiness is not… Drinking the only available ‘coffee’ at Crewe station after missing your connection in the winter drizzle.
Am I a casualty of the web generation if I now regularly mis-read the word “Homage” as “Homepage” ? eg from @garthr - http://is.gd/al6v
I loath and detest the MasterCard SecureCode faux security nonsense. Duplicate data input into an iframe… what a load of tosh!
